Tenth Annual CSULB GLAMFA Group Exhibition

Works by CSULA MFA graduate students Margaret 'Quica' Alarcon & Lisa Diane Wedgeworth will be included in the show.

The CSULB Fine Arts Round Table is proud to present the 10th Annual Greater Los Angeles Master of Fine Art Exhibition or 'GLAMFA' of California State University of Long Beach. Forty-one artists from sixteen different colleges and universities in the greater Los Angeles area were carefully selected. This year, as every year previous, the exhibition is organized and curated by graduate students and CSULB. Peers selecting the work of peers. Coinciding with Open Studios, the CSULB graduate students present their work in their studios along side the very best of the region in GLAMFA.

Although the exhibition will be on display for eleven days, the opening reception in conjunction with CSULB Open Studios is a one one day event and includes a panel discussion in the University Theater featuring curators and artists talking about how to break into the art world as a new artist and recent graduate student. The discussion panel will include Tanya Aguiñiga, Micol Hebron, Elizabeth James, Catlin Moore, Max Presneill, and Rafa Esparza.

The GLAMFA exhibition will be held in the Max L. Gatov galleries, the Dr.Maxine Merlino Gallery, the Werby, and The Dutzi. Other locations include The Chora Gallery, which is located inside of FA3 between the sculpture shop and sculpture work space.

Exhibition Hours:

Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 12:00pm–5:00pm

Wednesday, from 12:00pm - 7:00pm

Sunday from 1:00pm – 4:00pm

Closed major holidays.

Admission: Free of charge

Parking:

There is metered parking in lot 8A. Metered are $2 for 1 hour, $5 for 2 hours, $10 for 3 hours, and $15 for 4 hours. However there are also day passes available from the yellow box machines located in various areas of each lot. All day parking passes can be purchased for $5, and on Sunday you can park in any lot while displaying this pass on your dashboard. All dispensers take credit cards, and $1 or $5 bills only.

You can either pay for the metered parking in lots 8A, or you can purchase a day pass, and park in any of the general parking areas.

Aafter 5:30pm you can park in lots 4, 6, 7 and 9.

After 6pm you can park in lots 1, 3, 8, 8A, 15 and 18.

Please remember to keep your parking pass displayed and made visible on your dashboard while visiting the CSULB campus.

There will be signs and brightly colored duct tape arrows everywhere, helping you find your way.
